“Years of hard work have paid off” comments Robin Cursi, National Manager of Alan Turner and The Steel Horse Band. ” The band’s latest single, WE ARE YOUNG AND SO IS THE NIGHT caught the attention of Jeff Huskins in Nashville. This led to a deeper look at Alan and the band and their music.”

Jeff Huskins, successful artist, producer and entrepreneur whose performing career included touring and performing with artists such as Clint Black and Gene Watson, but is best known as a member of the multi-platinum country band Little Texas. Sometime after Little Texas disbanding, Jeff put his years in the music industry as well as his reputation to work and formed an independent record label called VIVATON. He quickly signed artists Chely Wright and Mark Chesnutt as well as others allowing the label to rise to the attention of SONY and subsequently merged with the music label giant shortly thereafter. Freeing Jeff to work exclusively with artists in a producer role bringing potential artists to the label.

“I was originally contacted 3 or 4 months back by Jeff’s business manager to discuss his interest in our music and our unique rocking country sound.” Alan explained. “We’ve been on this road before and you think something good is happening and then all of a sudden the phone stops ringing. But this time was different. After several phone conversations over the course of a number of months, my manager Robin and I met in Nashville for the final meeting where we signed a 4 song production deal. This is not a guarantee of an ultimate record deal. But it is a huge step toward one with zero cost to me and the band. So yeah we are pretty excited.”

The production deal will include the recording of 2 of Alan’s big songs and 2 songs written by Nashville songwriters with a background for writing hits. They are scheduled to record primary base tracks in Nashville in mid June at famed recording studio, The Tracking Room and later in August to record final vocals at Martina McBride’s renowned Blackbird Studios.
